New design of special double-row bearings for bicycle industry

It was designed new design as response to tighter conditions of European standards EN 14766 for section of bicycle component safety. Bottom bracket bearing testing brought us positive result. It is new sales potential for exacting customers According to voice our French customer, KINEX is third worldwide producer, which keep under exacting requirements European standard and manage guarantee bearing for the most exacting applications.

Polyamide cages PLC 410-33-2/WU 130x240 a PLC 410-13-2/WU 120x240.

With the aim of increase bearing technical performance, improve mechanical (strength, surface, internal stress) and operating parameters (reliability, safety, reduced friction) KINEX BEARINGS executed changes in bearings cages for railway industry. New polyamid cages have designation PLC 410-33-2/WU 130x240 a PLC 410-13-2/WU 120x240

The main design innovations:

Spherical-roller bearings

-The porfolio of the KINEX, a.s. bearings has been extended by spherical-roller bearings. Spherical-roller bearings are axially adjustable, non-sensitive to the non-alignment of the shaft to the body or to the shaft chamber. They are equipped by a large number of long symmetrical spherical rollers of a large diameter providing high load-bearing capacity. They provide high bearing capacity in the radial as well as axial direction. They are suitable for multi-purpose use in high load conditions. Their internal structure follows the latest technical knowledge. Their unique parameters, such as a looser guide ring, specific shape of rolling raceways and optimised surface features enable spherical-roller bearings to
                    • provide lower operating temperature and higher number of revolutions,
                    • carry higher axial load,
                    • provide longer durability.
Their specific features make them mostly suitable for:
                    • gearboxes of trucks and heavy building, milling and road-building machinery,
                    • axle assemblies of rail vehicles,
                    • heavy mechanical engineering – pressing and grinding machines, cranes, heavy machine tools
                    • iron industry – plate mills, converter assemblies,
                    • paper-making machines,
                    • turbines, generators.

NEW SOLUTION OF STANDARD BEARINGS

KINEX PREMIUM

Bearing group KINEX is introducing new solutions of standard bearings under the name KINEX PREMIUM, which aim to become new standard solutions in the field of safety and quality of bearings. New solutions are moving the borders of durability over the standard bearings and offering new solutions of arrangements for OEM customers in creation of new motion in various industrial applications.

Railway industry

Insulated bearings whose outer ring is covered by insulation layer stopping the electric current on the surface and fronts

  • layer material – aluminium oxide Al2O3 is an insulator that means that it stops the electric current passing through the bearing
  • bearings have standard connection dimensions according to ISO 15:1998
  • insulated bearings eliminate the creation of “electric pitting” caused by the passing electric current
  • thickness of the insulated layer is 0,07 mm for the resistance of electric breakdown up to 500 V and 0,15 mm for the resistance of electric breakdown up to 1000 V
  • insulation layer is applied using the plasma injection technology
  • insulated bearings reduce the number of defaults and thus reduce the costs on the device maintenance

 

Our company has developed a new axle box for the axle load of 25 tons of the Y25 chassis.

  •  axle box is designed to be in accordance with the UIC specifications
  • axle boxes were tested in the rigidity tests in accordance with UIC 510-3
  • rigidity and life o the axle box is in accordance with norm UIC 515-4 from all points of view

 

Bicycle industry

A new kind of the bicycle central part from the production of KINEX “ISIS DRIVE” is designated for the bicycles of middle and higher class.

  • the bearing consists of a grooved shaft (ISIS Drive) from the bearing steel 100Cr6 and laminated case from dural.
  • the shaft is installed in two accurate double-row ball bearings which ensure geometric stability even after the mounting into the bicycle frame and thus ensure smooth operation of the bicycle central part
  • the bearings are fixed in two dural basins with the thread of 1,37”x24tpi.


 

Automobile industry

Special thin walled singe row angular
contact ball bearing C 71822ATA P5OAS0 (SLB 18-5)

 With the target of improving the image and follow the trends in automotive industry the bearing group decided to integrate in development of rally automotive components.

 

Combination of experience, skills of designers and manufacturing workers we designed, produced and tested high quality bearing C 71822ATA P5OAS0 (SLB 18-5).

Bearing C 71822ATA P5OAS0 ( SLB 18-5):

  • is special purpose thin walled singe row angular contact ball bearing
  • is designed for wheel arrangement of rally cars Skoda Fabia WRC
  • for absorbing of tilting forces bearings in arrangements are matched into pairs with adjusted axial clearance
  • the rings are made from high refined bearing steel and are heat treated for higher operating temperature
  • bearings have textit cages guided by outer ring
  • in this bearing are ceramic balls of accuracy class G5
  • bearing are made in the accuracy class P5 according to ISO 492

Bearings with maximal carrying capacity have been developed for the land rover gearboxes

The bearing construction ensures:

  • higher carrying capacity maintaining the connection dimensions
  • longer life – it is reached using the cold lamination technology and through the quality of materials used
  • higher dynamic carrying capacity – the tested bearings reached more than 9 times the calculated basic endurance L10 on the testing stands which is more than 200% of the calculated basic dynamic carrying capacity

 


New 3–lip seal has been developed for the water pump bearings which represents a better protection of the bearing against the penetration of the cooling fluid.

  • the reliability of the bearings has been tested in the operation plant during the Ford test of bearings endurance. After the test was finished, the bearings reached the prescribed endurance and the seals worked well
  • this new proposed solution strongly increases the reliability of the water pump bearing
